On Earth Day 2024, we had the change to organize a workshop at the European Commission in Brussels with the organisation The Earth Society.
We first had an introduction to urban gardening and which techniques are currently being used in urban environments to fight the challenge of limited space.
Afterwards we got familiar with our semi-hydroponic system which, by optimising water and nutrient supply, maximises plant growth using minimal resources: less space, water, soil, and care, all powered by solar energy!
All participants were able to plant some Pbox urban gardens with aromatic herbs, leafy greens, edible flowers and some roots for themselves and for the European Commission offices.
