OUR SEMI-HYDROPONIC SYSTEM

With our semi-hydroponic system you can grow more with less. Less space, less soil, less water, less maintenance and you won't need to transplant. Our products are thought for urban environments following urban permaculture practices:

  • Less need of water and easy to keep them moisturized: only add water and nutrients (check out our DIY homemade fertilizer recipe!) in the bottom part

  • High efficiency: your plants need less space (and less soil) with this system, as the roots search for the water and nutrients in the bottom part and you will not need to transplant them.

  • Grow 100% local, from your home!

THE PBOX WITH AN INNOVATIVE AND UNIQUE CORK MATERIAL

After 2 years of development we are proud to finally present you our innovative, and unique product: the Pbox. The cork Pbox is the first semi-hydroponic #urbangarden with an innovative cork material to grow in minim space.

Cork is waterproof, resistant and natural. In the Mediterranean region, the cork oak is of great importance, especially in our context of climatic crisis: it resists fires and ensures very rich ecosystems. The traditional cork industry, although it ensures the good management of this bark, produces an important quantity of by-products. We have decided to seize this opportunity and take advantage of the valuable assets of cork in our cultivation system.

We developed the perfect biodegradable, durable, waterproof and aesthetic material to grow with a semi-hydroponic system, in minimum space. With this system, cultivating in the city becomes easy and enjoyable.

RECYCLED AND RECYLABLE MATERIALS

Our semi-hydroponic system with pots is made of 100% recycled and recyclable materials, made to be durable: we want you to keep your pots through the years to make the concept sustainable.

Our current way of consumption is producing tones of plastic waste that should not end up in landfill or burned. We upcycle plastic waste and turn it into an efficient growing system made in Europe, for you to green your city and enjoy edible photosynthesis

We also offer the recycled and recyclable version for our Pbox. You can choose between two colors: white and grey. Our Pbox is unique and uses as well a semi-hydroponic system, with less substrate and less water consumption.

OUR OTHER PRODUCTS

Our 100% organic seeds come from France, Austria, Germany and Spain by qualified producers to ensure quality.

The unique garden bag is made and designed in France, with 100% recycled truck and publicity tarpaulins. Each piece is unique and especially conceived for your urban garden. It allows you to move your garden around to find the perfect sunlight or to take it in your kitchen when preparing delicious recipes with edible photosynthesis. Here you can learn more about the great Dababo team.

The tray to keep all 6 pots in place is biodegradable made of 100% recycled cardbord, from the Netherlands.

Our substrate is organic, from Germany, to ensure the best quality.

Our printed products (gardener journal, stickers, tags…) are all printed with eco-responsible materials in Germany.

OUR "LESS-PACKAGING" CONCEPT

Let’s stop using single use bags!

Our products are sustainably made with a minimum packaging philosophy and made to be durable. We choose to reduce packaging as much as possible as well as single use products.

For our Growing Kits and other products, instead of using another cardboard box and other packaging made to end up in the trash, we put everything in beautiful 100% OEKO-TEX certified cotton bags, so that you can reuse them in your daily life. The bags are printed in Germany by our German partner and manufactured in India, with an official member of Sedex Global where the production conditions are regularly monitored and the production is subject to continuous quality control through independent audits by SMETA.

With the techniques used by some e-commerce sites, we are used to delivery in one day to our door, encouraging us to order large quantities and then return everything we do not want; and all this in a few days and for free.
However, for The Urban Permaculture, it is important to make customers aware of the environmental impact and economic cost of sending packages to their doors. We use DHL GoGreen and DPD, which delivers 100 per cent carbon-neutral throughout Europe and we try to find the best solutions for our customers and our planet.

And last but not least, The Urban Permaculture’s brand image and design is beautifully conceived by Anna Defez (@annadefez_design). She is a very talented designer from Catalonia, working for european projects.
